How ExecutorNotes Began
Peter Coy, President of Prodigm Inc, developed ExecutorNotes after his Brother Graham died in 2020. Graham had dementia and had made no preparation for his death, except to appoint his sister with power of attorney.
ExecutorNotes provides a facility for individuals to record their wishes related to the details of their funeral arrangements and communicate key details of other required ongoing transactions and financial activities to their executor and family.
ExecutorNotes was born as a product that could be stored very securely, and conveniently distributed in advance to your family and friends, and of course your executor! Note that beyond the regular questions and their answers there is the ability to attach quite large documents, pictures and even short videos to the ExecutorNotes.
With Peter's software development background and using Zoho Survey and Zoho Vault capabilities, ExecutorNotes was launched November 2021.

ExecutorNotes is a subsidiary division of Prodigm Inc., a company that was first registered in Ontario, Canada in 1992.

Why I decided to share ExecutorNotes with the public
Why I decided to share ExecutorNotes with the public
We developed ExecutorNotes after my Brother Graham died in 2020. He had dementia and had made no preparation for his death, except to appoint my sister with power of attorney.
That means when he died we were faced with the challenge of arranging his funeral and sorting out his estate with no guidance. We planned a successful virtual funeral, but it was tricky to find the right readings and music. We were not sure whom to invite beyond the immediate family. He was a very particular person!
I realized that in my own life, there are many complications as I am a business owner. Along with regular estate and funeral issues, I also have to plan what would happen with the business.
I developed a series of questions that covered my guidance requirements in this process, and then realized that everyone needs to do this sort of preparation. everyone needs to do this sort of preparation.
It is an act of consideration to help guide your family and colleagues when they are already stressed and in grief.
